Coming out of London's East End, Paul "DJ Koopa" Watton has been following his passion for music and honing his talents for more than 8 years. DJ Koopa started making his own music when he was just 13 years old, and then after being inspired by DJ EZs Pure Garage Album in 2000 he decided he wanted to be a DJ.

Two years later Koopa got his first set of decks and began practising. In just two years he got his first break after going to Magaluf in 2004 where he had nights at Club Fusion alongside DJ Paco and Ian Redman (Ultrabeat), Three Lions and The Office, one of the most popular bars in Magaluf.

Since that first summer, Koopa hasn't looked back. He is now well established in Magaluf and has worked all along the strip. This has included nights at Poco Locos, BCM cafe, Club XES, and residencies at The Office, BCM Square, Linekers Bar, and Alexs R&B.

As of summer 2009 Koopa is now a resident at Tokio Joes Nightclub, and is running his own promotion - Durty Bangers - which was the most popular night in Magaluf in 2008 and still going strong in 2009. Running weekly at Boomerangs Nightclub the night featured Lisa Maffia, MC's Romeo & Harvey (So Solid) and this year DJ's Lee Charles, Rich E Rich and Dela Crem.

During his winters in London Koopa has had weekly slots on Tease, Image, Evolution and UrbanBreaks FM. He has also carried on with his producing and has various tracks in development.

As an anticipated, up-and-coming DJ, there will surely be much more success to come for DJ Koopa in the future.
